The Junior Representative programs runs from August through to the following July each year when State Championships are held across Queensland.

Players that are selected to be part of the Representative program will train and compete in the Central Qld Junior Basketball Competition (CQJBC) which is administered by Basketball Qld.  This competition consists of 3 rounds over 3 weekends and may be hosted by any association in Central Queensland Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Emerald. The results from the CQJBC games will then seed teams to determine the nominated division for the State Championships.

State Championships are then held each year during school holidays in January, April and July.  All teams that have competed in the North Qld Junior Basketball Competition, Central QLD Junior Basketball Competition and Qld Basketball Junior Basketball Competition (SEQ) are seeded into divisions to compete at the State Championships.

Age groups and month of State Championship:
January: U18 Boys and Girls
April: U16 Boys and Girls
July: U12 and U14 Boys and Girls

All Junior players are welcome and encouraged to participate in skills training and trials for Representative teams.
