1 Week Suspension Players failing to do Bench Duties
A message to all players from the Committee
During Summer Season 2011, there was an increase in Players failing to perform their allotted bench duties and not arranging for someone to replace them.
Without people performing the bench duties it would not be possible to conduct the game as the scoresheet must be completed. It also causes time delays while officials try to find someone that can carry out these duties and reduces the “playing time” for that game.
Therefore the Committee has decided to enforce the ruling that Players will be given 1 weeks suspension if they fail to carry out their allocated duty, or fail to arrange for a replacement to perform their designated duty, from February 2012.
The team will also be deducted match points for each of their team members that do not perform their duty.
ie. Teams receive 3 pts for a win and 1 point for a loss. Therefore your team will be deducted 1 point/person not performing duties
Referees are to mark scoresheet
“Suspend – did not do duty”
